Training. Not Exercise.
There’s a big difference between exercise and training. The 99.9% are happy just moving and doing things they like.
Training is executed by champions. They do what they NEED to do, not what they want. They take the progressive steps necessary to reach their goals. That’s the approach of the point one percent.
Here’s an update on Big Ron: he’s still killing it. 4 cookies aka 405lbs for an easy single.
Just an FYI - one of the training strategies we used with Ron was accommodating resistance to get him to a new lifetime PR. Chains and bands match your natural strength curve, making an exercise difficult throughout the entire range of motion. Once you return to regular training, you progress.
Not fun, but definitely effective.
